Brothers

I got a Cannon Rebel back when Noah was a newborn and really haven't taken much time to learn how to really use it. So I've rededicated myself to it so I can get some really great photographs of these two cute boys. I also have been playing around with Photoshop actions which are amazing!

I LOVe these pictures. Noah is very sweet most of the time with Madden. He loves to rub his little head and occasionally share his snacks with him. The other day he was trying to spoon feed him yogurt and was sticking his sippy cup into Madden's mouth. I am soo lucky to have my boys. I love them to pieces.

Noah's 2nd Birthday

Noah celebrated his 2nd Birthday on the 14th of March. I swear we just celebrated his 1st! I took Noah to Zurchers a few days before to pick what kind of theme he wanted for his party. He had a tough decision between Shrek and Cars. Cars won out. It just so happened that Eyvonne had a Lightning McQueen Cake pan, so of course I had to make it for him.

It wasn't that hard-just time consuming. I started at about 1:30 and finished up about 4:45. It was too darling and I was so glad I did it for him. Family came over for pizza. We also had a pinata for him and Alex and Sydney and Dallin. It was pretty hilarious watching them trying to swing an axe handle at it. Yes it was completely supervised and no one was injured during the process-lol.

He of course was spoiled with DVD's, clothes, toys and cars. He didn't get a nap that afternoon so by about 8:00 he was so tired and curled up on Dad and fell asleep.

Madden David Young arrived Thursday January 10th, I finally started having some real contractions after my due date had past on Carson's birthday, January 6th. I was suppose to be induced that morning but decided against it so I was glad to have them finally start coming.

Carson left to work at 4:00 for the rest of the night and I continued on with life as usual. Taking care of Noah, running to the store, cooking dinner and cleaning the house like a mad women. Finally when I got Noah in the tub at 9:00 and slowed down for a minute, I realized the contractions were coming pretty regularly and strong. I felt silly calling Carson but told him I thought tonight might be the night. He casually said he would be home soon-in about 45 minutes or so.

Once he got home we called Kristi, who told me once the contractions got to about 4-5 minutes apart and lasted approx 1 minute we should probably head to the hospital. In the meantime try to get some rest or take a bath. About 10:50 I was really feeling it and told Carson I couldn't do this again. He gave me a blessing and we decided to go out to the living room and watch an episode of 24 while we timed contractions.

They started coming hard and fast. Although we kept timing and I never was having a contraction lasting a full minute. Finally about 12:30 the contractions were coming every 3 minutes but lasting just about 40 seconds long. I looked at Carson and said "When should we go?" He looked at me and laughed and said "I don't know, but I think we better go!" We got in the car and the whole way to the hospital I kept telling him we waited to long. Luckily we hit green lights almost the whole way even though the roads were snow packed.

We admitted to the hospital at 1:30, the nurse looked at me and told me she thought I was an 8-I hoped she was right but was going to die if I was really that far along and had been home doing all I had the whole time. Sure enough I was almost a 9!!! She called my Dr.who came to break my water. She told me I would be having this baby within the next 45 minutes. We called Kristi and she was still at 5300 So in Salt Lake. We told her not to come because she wasn't going to make it.

By then the contractions were coming hard and strong and luckily Carson was there to let me squeeze the life out of his hand. 3 pushes later, our 8.5 lb Madden was here! Quite the size difference from Noah who was just a peanut at 6lbs 4 oz. But I did it natural again and pretty darn proud of myself for laboring most of the night by myself and not even having a Doula to help me out in the end.

I'm finally blogging...

Well it's official-I'm blogging! I can see this turning into an addiction. Not that I don't have enough time on my hands between the boys, Carson, and running Mosh Posh-my business/website. Life is certainly crazy these days.
